Croda Foundation seeks new independent Trustee

Established in 2020, Croda Foundation is an independent charitable company founded and solely funded by Croda International Plc. The Foundation works to sustainably improve lives by providing access to people, know-how and capital. Its grant-making supports projects around the world focused on improving access to healthcare, reducing poverty and hunger, strengthening livelihoods, and protecting or restoring ecosystems.

Since its creation, Croda Foundation has committed £6.4 million in grants across 58 projects in 23 countries and has sustainably improved 22.8 million lives.

The Board of Trustees provides oversight, governance and leadership in pursuit of the Foundation’s strategy and charitable purpose. With one of the founding Trustees rotating off the Board, the Foundation is now looking for a new independent Trustee who can bring the right blend of experience, judgement and constructive challenge.

Given the Foundation’s unique model, candidates should have recent senior experience of working with Croda and understand the way the business operates, its culture, and its relationship with the Foundation. Current Croda employees are not eligible for this role.
Experience in areas such as finance and risk, managing conflicts of interest, reputation, manufacturing operations, and health and safety would be particularly welcome.

The role is unremunerated. Board meetings are held through a mixture of face-to-face and online meetings.
