Croda Foundation, established in 2020, is an independent charitable company founded, and solely funded, by FTSE 100 specialty chemicals company Croda International Plc.

The Foundation’s strategic priorities are to sustainably improve lives by providing access to people, know-how and capital. This includes supporting projects which would improve access to healthcare and health provision, reduce poverty, hunger, improve livelihoods and protect/restore ecosystems.

Grants provided by the Foundation support registered charities and other grantees located across the world, with a focus on priority countries, which are predominantly those in which Croda International has offices, manufacturing or technology or where its products are sourced or used.

To date we have committed £4.4m in grants across 38 projects in 21 countries and have sustainably improved 22.8 million lives.

More information with examples of projects supported to date can be found on this website under projects.

Who we’re looking for

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for providing appropriate oversight, governance, and leadership in pursuit of our strategy and fulfilment of our charitable purpose. Following a skills audit, we have identified gaps in our trustee skills base, particularly in the areas of charity / international development and operating in developing economies.

We are therefore looking for one new Trustee to join our Board who has an understanding of the charity sector and operating in developing economies. Previous trustee experience and knowledge of working with corporate foundations would be an asset and any applicant should align with our values of being Responsible, Innovative, Together and Trusted.

Please note that current Croda employees are not eligible for this role; Croda Nominated Trustees are recruited via a separate process.

If you are interested in the role, please send your CV and a cover note to: contact@crodafoundation.com.

We are committed to ensuring everyone can access our website and application processes. This includes people with sight loss, hearing, mobility and cognitive impairments. Should you require access to these documents in alternative formats, please let us know.
