Welcoming Richard Butler to Croda Foundation

Richard joined Croda through the acquisition of Uniqema in 2006 and spent more than 17 years with the business. During that time, he held a variety of regional and global commercial leadership roles across several sectors, including Personal Care, Biotechnology, Sun Care, Lubricants, Coatings & Polymers, and Polymer Additives. He retired from Croda at the end of 2023 after helping to guide the integration of Iberchem and Parfex.

Since retiring, Richard has taken on a number of voluntary roles and was drawn to the opportunity to support Croda Foundation's mission. As a Foundation Board member, he is looking forward to contributing at a strategic level and helping drive sustainable improvements in health, welfare and livelihoods for communities around the world.

Richard said: "I'm really looking forward to getting to know the team, understanding how I can add value and learning more about how the Foundation turns funding into practical actions that help solve real problems for people. I’m proud of Croda's commitment to the Foundation – it is a true reflection of the culture and values that have long defined the business.”

Welcoming Richard to the Board of Trustees, Dr Helena Ganczakowski, Chair of the Foundation's Board, said: “We are delighted that Richard will be joining us as a Croda Foundation Trustee. His passion, deep knowledge of Croda and broad functional experience will be a real asset to the team."

Please join us in giving Richard a warm welcome as he begins this new chapter with Croda Foundation.
